The Halestorm Street Team Rocks

  • The Halestorm Street Team Rocks

Here are some early recaps from our teamers/Stormchasers/Haleraisers covering the Halestorm shows. (Teamers are assisting Beth, part of the Street Team after the show selling the band’s CDs and passing out materials as attendees leave.)

    9/10 @ Powerplant Live / Baltimore, MD

MATERIALS USED:  Halestorm posters, "I Get Off" stickers, "Halestorm" stickers

What was the reaction to your promo?  This show was absolutely crazy!!  It was a free (21+) show, and the purpose of the show was to kickoff the football season for the Baltimore Ravens, so of course it was packed there!!  When I arrived the venue was already at capacity, and there was a line of at least 1,000 people waiting to get in.  As 1 person left, they would let 1 more person in.  I called Lora and Beth, and luckily Lora was able to get me into the venue.  I met up with Beth to see if she needed my help with anything, but she said she didn't.  Ordinarily she said she asks street teamers to walk around selling CD's, but the crowd was so overwhelming you could barely move, let alone walk through the crowd.  I asked her what she wanted me to do with the posters and stickers (since there were signs posted everywhere saying "No solicitation of any kind" and lots of police officers around too), and she said I could just leave the materials on her merch table and she would give them out as people came over to buy merch.  So that's what I ended up doing with the promo!  I didn't really get to see how many reacted to it, but while I was standing there talking to her a couple people came over and asked if they could take some of the "I Get Off" stickers.

9/14 @ The Orbit Room / Grand Rapids, MI

MATERIALS USED: Halestorm Posters, Halestorm Stickers, Halestome "I Get Off" Stickers, Cd's

What was the reaction to your promo? Everyone loved the stickers, especially the 21-28 year old guys, who most definitely became fans of Halestorm after seeing Lizzy perform.

Did anyone return for more materials? Yes, a lot of people came back for stickers because they were putting them on themselves or their friends, a majority of the crowd was drunk, so people were sticking them all over themselves. One group of guys at the bar put them on all their hats and beer cups.

Please submit any comments that may be of use to us: I put up posters on the main windowed doors as your entered the venue, and on the exit doors and bathroom mirrors.

Beth, Detroit and the band were all amazing. They were so excited I was there to help, and really made me feel apart of the family. They would not let me leave at the end and made me stay to eat pizza and hang out with them after. They tried to get me to come back the next night in Michigan, but I could not :(. They might have won the title for nicest, most appreciative band I've ever met. They love everyone at Atlantic too, and were just such an optimistic, fun band. They know what they want, and they are enjoying doing it.

The crowd really loved them. They had a pretty strong set, and it was the perfect crowd for new fans. I helped sell cd's before and after the set and we sold probably over 50 cds at just those times. Everyone had great things to say about the band, and I think Halestorm actually left some new solid fans.

    9/22 @ Valarium / Knoxville, TN

This is my show coverage report for Halestorm in Knoxville,Tn. on September 22nd at the Valarium. My wife had to work so I took my 16 year old son instead. I arrived in Knoxville at about 1:30 P.M. . My son and I took the opportunity to place posters in the Knoxville area on Western Avenue. We placed them at Walgreens, Ronnie’s Bar and Grill, Kroger, Super Wash House (Car Wash), Autozone, Pilot Service Station, and on some Soda machines and Newspaper machines near the venue(I was granted permission from whichever store it was in front of). We were really pumped about getting to see Halestorm again but maybe they will come close to Corbin again soon. I took some pics of our work and you can see them at: https://photobucket.com/halestorm
