Cat 5 Stormers?

I admit I'm kind of new to Halestorm (I discovered them back in January), but I'm pretty well obsessed at this point. Maybe this is a stupid question.

I keep hearing references (here, other places on the internet, and at shows) to a group of fans called "Category Five Stormers" or just "Cat 5," but I can't find any information on what that actually means. A quick Google search turned up a couple of cryptic things like "the best of the best of Halestorm fans" and "the most dedicated group of Halestorm supporters" and other stuff that sounds impressive, but it ultimately meaningless and not very helpful. And there doesn't seem to be an actual presence (no website or MySpace or Facebook group or anything) that I've found, just a few individuals who bring it up from time to time.

Seriously, what's the deal with Category 5? I know the band doesn't have an offical fan club yet, so it can't be that... Is it some kind of super-exclusive secret society like the Freemasons, or is it just a group of hardcore fans like the KISS Army? Can just anyone call themselves "Cat 5," or do you have to earn it somehow? Is there an actual group or organization to sign up with, or is it just a term people use to describe extra-enthusiastic fans? Am I Cat 5? Are you? Does it matter?

    There is a ritual you have to go through to be a C5C.....oh wait, no....that was my own doing. Forget I said anything. :D And don't look at my profile pic....there is only a certain level of dedication and Lzzy already chatted with me about it.

    @LFCRFC5: thanks for the answer!! I'll be here everytime as possible to share news (not in twitter, 'cause I don't have an account... for the future, maybe) and try to call some people to play Halestorm in brazilian radios. I know some fans here and I could invite them to start something like a "brazilian division of C5C", what about it? :D

    Wow.

    I really wasn't trying to, you know, invite myself into the group or anything; I swear I just wanted to know what you all were about. But that's not to say I wouldn't love to sign up if you'd have me... I'd really like to do whatever I can to support the band, directly or indirectly (ask some of the radio DJs in Reno about how hard I've been riding their request line and e-mail lately), and it seems like Marty was right on the money about the whole "good people" thing.

    I'll definitely look you up on Twitter -- I'm already seeing a few names here that I recognize from Lzzy's feed. If you get any messages from "Damn_Dirty_Ape," that's me. And if anyone's coming to Uproar in Sacramento in three weeks...

    @Mike I'm a C5C too, I've become one too over time, doing exactly as Julie just said. :-)

    @cloudkicker don't sweat it bud, it's not that big of a deal if you can't make it to the shows with us. It's really a lot more about building a community with a common interest. Half the fun is sharing news about the fun treats that Halestorm throws out to the fans at each show, which no one else who missed the show would otherwise have a clue about! ;-) I don't know when HS is going to make it down to Brazil, but i'm sure it's going to happen at some point. If I can't make it to that show then I would love to know I've got an inside man to catch me up on what happens!
