I had an appointment to get this on my way to Sacramento for Uproar, but I won a radio contest and got to attend a private Halestorm/New Medicine performance at the station (ABSOLUTELY AWESOME), so I had to reschedule. I mentioned it to the band during the meet and greet session afterward, and Lzzy actually apologized for their exclusive, twenty-people-total-in attendance-and-I-got-to-be-one-of-them show conflicting with my schedule, because she's that awesome and sweet and humble and genuinely appreciative of her fans. (Lzzy, if you read this, trust me, there's no need to be sorry about something like that. Being able to be at that event made my whole year.)
So I got it the next day, on the way home from Uproar instead. Dave Cameron at Hangtown Tattoo in Placerville, CA does some great work.
It's my first tattoo ever, by the way.
