I've been a Singer/Songwriter for bands from Texas to North Carolina to Nevada in the Rock scene for almost 16 years now. I'm also an On-Air DJ at Rock 104.5 (www.kdot.com) in Reno, NV. I've been truly blessed with the lifestyle only rock musicians can describe as pleasently chaotic, with all the friends I've made in the professional industry and my wife and children.

I have such a wide range of taste in music, so I'll just list a few here. Halestorm, of course, Hellyeah, Shinedown, SOiL, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, Godsmack, Black Label Society, Five Finger Death Punch, Sevendust, and the list goes on....
Favorite Places
Touring anywhere, Munich (friendly people), Amsterdam, Dublin, Hawaii (both Oahu and Maui), and anywhere there has been a beach to party on.
How did you first hear about Halestorm?
Here at the radio station I work for when the single "I Get Off" was first dropped off for us to play.
Favorite Halestorm moment/show?
Every show blows me away, but my favorite moment so far was when I was interviewing Lzzy in the radio station tent and her, Joe, and her mom hung out and chatted for awhile. Lzzy is absolutely gorgeous, definate dream material, and such a sweetheart to boot. Such a rare combination nowadays from professional musicians. Hats off!

    If you are referring to whether or not I played them in that 5 minutes from posting my comment, then you were not listening, as in less then 5 minutes of replying to you, I had their new single playing on the DoT. I don't play games ;)

    Great to hear! Don't worry, I understand you don't have total control over what you play, and I'm not saying I want or expect all Halestorm, all the time; I'd just be really psyched if, just once, I heard them on the radio just because they're what's on, and not because I called in during some "all request" hour and specifically asked for them. I mean, do I have to do everything around here?

    Also, I appreciate you actually responding and carrying on a dialogue, and not assuming I'm trying to start any drama or anything. I'm not. I just honestly want this band to succeed. I want more tours. I want more albums. I want more Halestorm. I think they genuinely deserve success. And that's a lot more likely if people actually hear them.

    Though I'd point out that I've waited "5 minutes" for them about 25 times over at this point...

Unfortunately at FCC controlled radio stations we can't do whatever we want all the time, and I can't speak for the other jocks on this station when they are doing their shows, but when it comes to when I'm on air, I'll do my best to give them a little more air time. That doesn't mean every night I'm on air I can play a triple shot of Halestorm, we have to follow the rotations of their new hit singles, like the one we are rotating now "Familiar Taste of Poison". But I'll do my best to get them on air more and still stay within the guidelines required of my job. Thanks for all the feedback dude, you rock!

    Yeah, maybe I've just missed them. But I've listened a lot over the last few months -- until mid-June I was commuting between Reno, Carson and Minden at all hours of the day and night, and since then I've been at a nine-to-five desk job and tried to listen at work when I could -- I've heard a lot, but once "It's Not You" wasn't the hot new single anymore (mid-March or so?), no Halestorm. Zero.

    I hope you're right, and I've just been unlucky. Either way, I love the station, and please, keep playing Halestorm!

I don't consider it you calling me out, technically, because of two reasons. 1) My show is Monday through Friday from 10pm until 2am, and I've played them 4 times now over the past week on my show. AND I've filled in for the Saturday Night Special the last two Saturdays in a row now, which is where the listeners call in requests from 7-10pm, and both nights I've played Halestorm. And for 2) We have no control of when you are near a radio to tune in. Odds are, when you're listening you may have just missed us playing Halestorm, which has GOT to be the case, since we have had their new single "Familiar Taste of Poison" on regualr rotation for a couple weeks now, in fact, it's coming on again in about 5 minutes.
