About Me

I sing for BARRELBRIGHT and I do graphics and illustration. We're kinda' SHINEDOWN / HALESTORMish, or at least big fans. I'm married to the beautiful and talented Geneva Arena, who graces us with her presence, as the bassist for BB. We're rounded out by Chuck Nusser on lead guitar, Brazzle on rhythm guitar and Nick Engle on drums. I'm pretty much just a guy who loves to sing and takes both art and music seriously as a career choice. I sincerely believe that a life spent following your heart and working hard to be good at what you do, as long at it doesn't hurt the innocent, is a life not wasted.

Thank you. Please drive through.

I got to play an acoustic show with HALESTORM, recently. Sweet people. Amazing band. They graciously handed us our butts... and we were all okay with that. What a day. :)

Thank you. Please drive through.

Favorite Bands
HALESTORM, SHINEDOWN, CHEVELLE, THORNLEY, PARAMORE, NICKELBACK, BLACKSTONE CHERRY.

Favorite singers would include Lzzy Hale, Lajon Witherspoon, Steven Tyler, Steve Perry, Ian Thornley, Brent Smith, Ann Wilson and the late Freddy Mercury and Etta James.

LEAST favorites would include anyone who thinks their talent exlcudes them from actually working hard and treating people as human beings.
Favorite Places
The stage. Whenever. Wherever. The Chicago House of Blues was pretty awesome. The pacific ocean at night, as the moon glistens off of it like a silver sunrise. Don't see much of that, here in Kansas.
How did you first hear about Halestorm?
Just after they released their EP, One and Done, I heard the band and it basically rocked my face off. Fan ever since. No one sings quite like Lzzy. But the whole band is sick and they're all wonderful people to hang out with, afterwards. A real family.
Favorite Halestorm moment/show?
Their acoustic performance at Heroes Sports Bar, in Wichita, on February 9th, 2010. I'm biased, though. BARRELBRIGHT was the opener. We were actually really good... and then they destroyed us. heh, heh. Amazing cover of HEART's All I Want To Do. Stunning.

Well actually my daughter had nothing to do with the band splitting up although I wish that was why. The drummer got to attached and I didn't feel that way towards him and things got bad so I had to quit. There are days which I wish I never would have quit and that I would have tried to make the band work but the drummer is a stubborn man so I knew deep down it would never go away.

Oh well there are plenty of talented people out there and I need to find them. I have always wanted to sing since I was eight years old and that dream will never go away.

Thank you so much for your comment. When your wife came in at the end it was just super funny, I loved that part. I couldn't help but laugh and tell a few friends to check it out also because you hit those notes so well.

Singing in a band is exactly what I want to do, and I was in one for a while but personal matters ruined it. And it makes me sick because I love doing it. I wish you luck your video was awesome!
