I'm in Reno. A lot of us out West have been waiting a while. And before anybody starts complaining about how it's been "so long" since they came to, like, the Midwest or Philly or something, let me put it in perspective: The last time they hit California -- or anywhere west of the El Paso, Texas metro area for that matter, including Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, or Idaho -- was September of 2010. They've been to JAPAN more recently. They've been to Europe more recently, and are back AGAIN right now; Germany deals with less of a wait between Halestorm tours than San Francisco does lately. So we here in the West been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, a lot longer than the rest of the US has.

BUT there's good news. For the full story, I'll take you back to December 9th, on Twitter. A topic was trending, "#OnMyWishList." I tweeted:
"#OnMyWishList Halestorm on the radio, Halestorm's new album, Halestorm shows in the west, and a pony."

And got a response from Pete Ganbarg, Atlantic Records' head of A&R. He's a pretty big deal there. He said:
"Can definitely promise you the first three. Last one, you're on your own ;)"

So there's that. On top of it, when the Mass Chaos dates were announced a few weeks ago (one date in Phoenix and most everything else in the Southeast), I tweeted him this:
"Just so you know, a single show in Arizona doesn't count as 'dates (plural) in the west.'"

Again, he responded:
"It's a 3 year cycle. And we start tomorrow! Fasten your seatbelt..."

So the label is aware that we're waiting here. And they're planning on sending the band our way. I don't know when exactly, but, well, SOON. Once the new album is released in April, they should be hitting the road pretty hard to promote it, so after Mass Chaos wraps up, I expect we'll see something. Maybe even HEADLINING instead of opening for someone else. I can wait a few extra months if it means getting a one-hour Halestorm set instead of a twenty-minute one.
