Seeing all the awesome performances on YouTube and hearing the Philly album...Halestorm kicks ass live. The songs in my opinion even sound better live, they have that raw power to them that just sounds awesome.
I think we need some downloadable mp3's of some of the newer songs like Love Bites and Bad Romance (which I actually like more live). It'd be great if these were on iTunes or something.
And who else thinks we need live performances of Out Ta Get Me and I Want You? Those are killer covers and they'd be even more awesome live. I love the last 2 minutes of I Want You where Lzzy is freestyling, it's effing awesome.
Some bands like the black crowes and the allman brothers band release "instant live" cds of entire concerts... Maybe Halestorm could start doing this? I think that they should just release a Reanimate Live and a Live album of their entire second album, that way the production is better... Anyways, thats my suggestion
Yeah dude, those other ReAniMate covers would be awesome live! And there is actually a Youtube Downloader plugin for Firefox that lets you download any Youtube video and has decent quality. That's how I have MP3s of Love Bites and American Boys, etc., as well as MP4s (videos) of many performances.
Unfortunately, they're still not the best quality, especially if you're tryig to learn the lyrics to the new songs.
I do agree that professional live recordings should be done for some of their new/cover songs. Something similar to the Live in Philly quality would be amazing!
