PRIVATE PERFORMANCE AT 98 ROCK STUDIO

Hey Y'all, just wanted to thank Halestorm for an amazing experience yesterday in Sactown, Cali. I was one of the lucky few who won tickets to get a private performance by Halestorm and New Medicine at the 98 Rock studio. For me it was doubly amazing because after many years of following the band and enjoting their growing success and popularity, I FINALLY popped my cherry and got to meet the band!!! (did I mention that I got off??) :P It was a very exclusive show with only a dozen or so people in a very small room enjoying a three song acoustic set from each band. They played their standard rockers: "It's Not You" and "I Get Off", and then threw in my favorite song "Familiar Taste Of Poison." Which I forgot to ask you.....is that song about a man or a drug....because for me it can go either way.....uh, that is to say a drug or a woman....cuz um, well just for the record I personally do not go either way. a-heh-heh-heh. But the lyrics seem a little ambiguous to me. (very clever. ) Anywayzzzzzzz, I was SOOOO happy they played that song and Lzzy's voice, as usual, was spot on and was orgasmic to listen to. Sorry Lzzy....not trying to embarrass you, but I can't think of a more appropriate term. I haven't been that emotionally charged since the birth of my children......many....MANY....moons ago. (O: To meet them, (Halestorm, not my children), for the first time in such an intimate setting, and then getting to hear them unplugged.....well, truly words cannot express my delight....though I know many of you know EXACTLY what I mean. They were all so very cool and gracious....just as I knew they would be....and I was thrilled when I told them who I was and they actually knew me!!! I knew when I stumbled across this band 5 years ago that they were genuine  and talented people. I am glad to see that success has not ruined them......yet. :P I can't wait to see where they go from here and am proud to be able to be one of the few who can say..."I knew them when....."

Thanks again Lzzy, Arejay, Joe and Josh for making one of my dreams come true and making this old man feel like a kid again!!

I was a little put off by your signature Arejay because it said H-Stoned Bitch and I was like.....damn man....why ya gotta call me a bitch holmes??? And then later on the ride home I finally got it. It's like Chappel's "I'm Rick James bitch" right? So all day I was like, straight up Halestoned bitch!!! LMAO!! But Lzzy's comment brought a tear to my eye when it thanked me for being a part of this. Even if she does write that to everyone, I don't care cuz this time she wrote it to me!

Thanks again guys for an AMAZING time!! (I hate that word btw cuz it's SOOOO overused....but it this situation, it really isn't a powerful enough word!)

I hope the Uproar concert went well. I was sorry I couldn't make the show, but I did make two of my best friends very happy when I gave them my tickets and God had already bestowed my blessing upon me so it was all good baby!!!

Can't wait to see you again,,,,,and hey.......all you Penny locals.....quit yer cryin'!!! You'll get your band home soon enough!! Count your blessing and don't be so stingy ya hear?!! And I'm an old Youngstown boy so we're practically neighbors an all.

    Love yas!!

I know yer still touring to promote your c.d......but is it too soon to ask when the new one's comming??? Yeah.....prolly is..... :O/ Yet I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting!!

Oh and by the by.......LOVE the new dew Lzzy!!!! And your outfit was SMOKING hot!!!! Not enough O's in droooooool for that one babe!! I hope I didn't stare too much. (O; I kept trying to look you in the eyes...but it was hard....so very hard!! (pun intended.)

Allright, I'm out.....but 24 hours later and still high as a kite.

    THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU!!!!

OH! And one more thing. Talk about Karma. How cool is it that I failed to meet you at the Boardwalk in 2008 because of a raging tooth ache.....wasn't able to make this years show because of work obligations....but then won one of only ten private show tickets??!!! Ya gott live right kids, and ya gotta believe!!!

    All right.....now i'm done.

I was lucky enough to be at this, too, and it was amazing. Even if it had been half as awesome as it actually was, it still would have been the high point of my whole year. I already had my Uproar tickets, and I was only going for Halestorm and New Meds anyway -- every other act was just a bonus. But to be part of such an exclusive event with both bands... I can't say enough good things about it. The performances were spectacular, and the meet & greet sessions were even better. Every other rock band out there should pay attention to the way Halestorm treats their fans and take notes. They really, truly appreciate each and every one of us, and make sure we know it.

I couldn't have asked for a better day.
