About a month before Download, I started going through all of the bands on the bill that I hadn't heard of, Halestorm being one of them, and was completely blown away by the video for I get off. So I bought the album and listened to it solidly for a couple of weeks which meant that Halestorm were going to be one of my top priorites.
Headed down to the Pepsi Max tent at about 16:15, with Halestorm due on at 16:25 and it was already 3/4 full.
When Lzzy started a vocal intro to It's not you, the tent was full and I was absolutely stunned by the power and accuracy of her voice, then bam, straight into the song.
The sound was fantastic and as they powered through a blistering 30 min set, including the full band drum solo and ending with I get off, I left the tent with a smile a mile wide.
When we were trying to get out of the car park on the monday, it took us an hour, but with the Halestorm album blaring, we didn't give a fuck.
Fookin awesome
Was anyone else there?

Yes, I was close to the front too, and having looked forward to their set all day, I was completely satisfied!! It was fantastic, Lzzy's voice was outstanding, pitch was perfect, such an amazing range, perfectly complemented by the band.
I absolutely love this band, and I cannot wait for more UK shows, they could have easily played the second stage. C'mon Halestorm, lets see you in the UK, you're amazing.
Yeah I was right at the front I think I'm in love !
