    Halestorm is going to be in the Atlantic Records office/studio this week doing a bit of recording.  We decided we want to sit down with them to do a bit of Q&A, but don't want to ask the same ol' boring questions we normally run through.  Therefore, there's only one solution: 

    That's right.  If you post questions in the message board below, and they're cool/original/fun enough, there's a very good chance they'll be selected by the WebCrew to be asked.

1.)Can you describe a little bit about your creative process while transposing songs from an idea or a paragraph written on a napkin to the progression into a defined piece of music laid out for recording. How is this influenced by the other rock groups out there? Does the songs in there progression through this process change along with say, an outside influence of or from another band currently out there, that may tie into your musical curriculum. (Flyleaf, Sick puppies, ect.) 2.) AreJay- You seems to be a Keith Moon fan and I was wondering how he has influenced your percussion playing. ........And finally, 3.) I am very much look forward to seeing Halestorm at the Rock in Maplewood Mn. on October 9th! It's an all ages show so I am bringing my 11 year old who loves Lzzy. You guys are great! My daughter who is 11, wants so badly to be in a rock band She is taking guitar lessons and sings-Even more so now- after listening to and watching Lzzy Hale Wail! Historically, metal has been a very male dominated. The few bands fronted by women have seen her become the focal point (sadly I can't name anyone else in Warlock but Doro Pesch). How do you keep your identity as a band as no doubt the label and everyone else are quick to push Lzzy to the front?

1. From what I understand, Lzzy and Arejay's dad was instrumental in terms of getting them into music, even playing bass in early incarnations of Halestorm. How involved is Dad in your careers today and what does he think of your success? 2. Does Arejay have any plans on resurrecting the upside-down spinning drum set once Halestorm starts a headlining tour? 3. Halestorm has been on a number of multiple-band tours where the other bands were comprised of all guys. How does Lzzy keep all of those (often intoxicated) guys from making unwelcome advances? 4. What does Halestorm's schedule look like on a typical day/week? 5. From his onstage antics, Arejay seems like he would be a wild dude offstage as well. Does Lzzy's "big sister instinct" ever rear its head on tour and compel her to keep Arejay out of trouble? If so, please provide examples.

First off, Halestorm is one of the most original bands I have ever heard...and I've heard a lot! I believe you will only get better as time goes on. Your devotion to your fans is unmatched by anyone I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. So...on to the question to the band in general. I have a 15 year old son who has seen me(in the good old days) play in bands but go nowhere. Yet, he looks at me now as his idol his sole dream in life is to become a famous rock musician. He has played guitar since age five and is currently in a band. I support him in everything he does but I don't want him to end up not making it and beleiving that life is over as he knows it and feeling that there is nothing else he can do. What advise would you give to him and knowing how long it took Halestorm, do you think there is a time limit on when you should say, "Well, ok, I gave it my best shot".

I wanna know not what music inspired you when first starting the band but when you guys are on the road with hours of time to kill before shows and you just wanna veg out and you break out the ipod.... what are you listening to?we all have those songs we listen to for different moods. what do you jam to when not playing your own music?

I noticed there's a sadomasochistic attitude to relationships,that's present in the lyrics of many of your songs. It's not necessarily sexual, but the songs often focus on the pain of being in a complicated relationship. They all still rock, but my question is, and this goes to everyone in the band, how many crazy men/women did you guys date? By the way, you guys rock, please come back to Cleveland soon. I have 2 questions. 1. Lzzy, what is it like having your mom as a manager? I have met her many times now and she seems to be the coolest woman on the planet. 2. Some people try to pass Halestorm off as a sex band. They like to take "I Get Off" a little bit too literal in my opinion. What would you say to them? Or, to better phrase. Do you see Halestorm as just another "sex band"? I definitely don't. Thanks so much, Curt

First off, thank you for continuing to find new and creative ways to remain interactive with your fan base. The new website is second to none, and the meet and greets after live shows demonstrate your commitment to all of us StormChasers!! I, for one, cannot get enough Halestorm. I own the CD, the digital bonus track version, and One and Done. I would LOVE digital downloads of some acoustic stuff. It's all over YouTube, etc, but I need it on my Ipod! Also, how about a live performance DVD? Basically, I want it all!!!!
