twenty ten...A love letter from Lzzy

Hello All!

This is more of an old fashioned "letter" than a news blog, or post. I felt it important to just rant for a few minutes about what you all mean to me.

There's special bond that I've discovered I have with you... 

I've said this before on stage, and to some of you after the shows, but, the connection that I have with you is so much more than just "performer" and "audience".  It's like two lovers discovering eachother for the first time. it's also a calling to arms, where some nights I feel like i've found long lost friends, people who believe as I do, even if we've only just met.  It's also, sometimes, guilt free debauchery. On those nights, you feel like anything can happen... or you could do or say anything with absolutely NO consequences.  You above all... are my enablers...you give me the power to do what I do on stage.  You, as of recent events, have shown me, that these songs, that were once only my thoughts...are also yours.  I have talked with quite a few of you who have gotten through a divorce or bad relationship with the aid of Better Sorry Than Safe. I heard from some of you who worked through differences with your lover, or found a voice with Familiar Taste Of Poison, and Bet You Wish You Had Me Back. Our new single, Its Not You through the eyes of a few 6th graders, is an anthem that they proudly announce to all the boys in their class ;), ...I even met a couple who walked down the aisle at their wedding to I Get Off.  I have so many stories that you all have been so wonderful to share with me!!

These songs, a year ago,  were merely things that I had to say. Selfish lyrics that I purged to get through whatever I was dealing with at the time. Now, they have become a gift. And it is the most amazing feeling to know that something I went through, or felt like singing about, has actually, inspired, empowered, healed, or turned on someone. You truly have made everything and anything I've worked for to keep this band thriving on, worth it!

Just know, that you are not alone in anything you feel (this is something YOU have proven to me in my own life)

and that YOU, and ME are unique, and slightly crazy people that decided to let Rock n Roll be the center of our Hearts...

Thank you for taking my breath away this year,

    That has to be one of the most awesome things I have ever read. Miss Lzzy things like this is the reason I just can't get enough of you guys. I can't wait for the next show because 1) I'll get my face rocked off and 2) I'll get to see my Halestorm family.

    Lzzy,
    As you've seen over and over again in the return comments, you have given to us every thing you have talked about in your "Love Letter". To some of us you give strength, to others power and still more friendship. This is what your music does for all of us, helps us through the rough moments and makes us feel on top of the world with the greatest moments in life You've shown us that you care about everyone whether we are rock stars or just groupies (lol). Always know that what you do and your voice is one of the best gifts anyone has ever given. Never stop!! I'll get to see you guys for the 3rd and 4th times in February and doubt that I will ever stop having the emotions as I did that first time.

    Your letter is beautiful and awesome and makes it all feel worth it. Thank you for givin me the thrill!!!

    I never thought I would get to see you live in concert to experience the energy first hand as I was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease two years ago. My wife and I have loved your music from the moment we heard your first song. Well I am happy to say, that you are finally coming to my town and I bought tickets. I asked my wife out on the first date since we got married and we will be there at the Vogue theater in Indiana this Friday!! I can't wait to share the energy and rock!

    Lzzy,
    That's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard from a performer. I caught my first HaleStorm show in Johnson City, TN back in November and was immediately struck by the personal feeling of the whole thing. You made everyone there feel like a friend and showed us that you really do feel that connection. I am one of those that you have helped through a difficult time. Your words and your music have helped me cope, and for that I am grateful. I am even more moved though by the way you reacted when I told you after the show that was the reason I modeled my tat after yours (remember me now?). You seemed genuinely happy and moved that you had helped and inspired me. Meeting you and the guys was a bright spot in what has been a pretty bad year for me. You made me feel like a friend, not just a fan and that means so much.

    Wow. This has got to be the most sincere,beautiful thing I have ever read from a person on a stage. What I love most about this band is the sincerity and Love you hold for every fan in front of you. I know in all the times we have come across one another, I feel important and on top of this world in the way this music is given. Each and every song means something. && the feelings touch my soul everytime. && the people around me that I have played your music too.. feel a connection without ever knowing how amazing you truly are in person. You and this band have inspired new things, new feelings and music screams the words I am to afrad to speak.. && ur willingness and love for your music is what makes Music so beautiful. I look for to seeing you these next 2 weekends.. I'll be there! ! Thank you for your love and this year will bring you amazing things to amazing people like Halestorm! Thank you Lzzy!
