I first heard of Halestorm, when I was lucky enough to receive the EP Hello It’s Mz Hyde to review. I was absolutely blown away by the sheer power of Lzzy Hale’s voice, and the quality of the music on that EP, so when this album came up for review, I jumped on it, much like a big cat pounces on it’s chosen prey. There was no way I was going to miss out on this….
I’m glad I did volunteer, as this is is a seriously good album. The rock tracks are injected with so much power and venom you feel you’re in danger of being killed. There’s some vehemence, animosity and attitude in this album and some great lyrics. It’s music that will grind you into a pulp, and then spit in what’s left of your face.
