Wow...We have Halestorm back
Wow...We have Halestorm back @ Rockfest this July in Northwest Wisconsin for the second year in a row-YES!! I've had a group of fifteen friends at this festival for almost twenty years. We've seen hundreds of bands (big name and small) and all in the group agreed last year Halestorm was one of (if not the top) first time band to play in all that time. Many new groups don't get that kick-*ss bands need to have the hard driving licks, killer vocals, and a stage presence...Halestorm does it!!! Lzzy is the real deal and Josh, Joey, and Arejay put on a hell of a ROCK show. Keep your edge and use your ability to take it to a whole 'nother level. Rawwwwk Awwwwn!

Power-house rock chick, solid rock musicians, and none of this plastic-model-kit assemble-them-before-the-show clone rubbish that seems to permeate modern music. I'm only sorry it took me this long to find out about the band, and think it's criminal that I'd never heard of Halestorm, while being almost brainwashed with hordes of weaker, more shallow, and far less talented acts. At the risk of showing my age, I rank Lzzy Hale on par with great former rock chicks and bands like Pat Benatar, Heart, and Vixen, with more than a hint of Joan Jett's in-your-face attitude. No warbling and vocal acrobatics just for the sake of it, no 'my image is so darn cool', no pre-packaged messages from the corporate sponsor inserted in the songs. What impresses me even more is the versatility of the band, between slow emotional arrangements through to kick-a*se in-your-face aggressive heavy rock. I haven't been this excited about a band for a long while.

I first heard Halestorm a couple years ago and I was fascinated. I women that rocks was greatly missing...until Lzzy.
I fell in love with I Get Off and ordered it on I Tunes. I recently searched for the band on you tube and found Here's To Us from the Live Room and re fell in love. If you haven't seen it, please do. It was posted by "thewarnersound" and contains audio and video from the Live Room of 5 songs. All of which are great quality. Then sit back and enjoy the best female rocking voice in music today. Lzzy, you look tall? May I ask just how tall you are?
